Dr. Vithya Indrakumar is thrilled to share a bit about her background and medical journey with you. Born and raised in the UK, she began her foray into healthcare with a degree in Pharmacy from the University of Bradford, graduating as a Pharmacist. Driven by a passion for patient care, she pursued her medical training at the University of Leicester in the Midlands region of England.
Having obtained her medical degree in 2013,
Dr. Indrakumar underwent comprehensive hospital training at esteemed institutions such as the Royal Free Hospital and Watford General Hospital in North West London. Her commitment to excellence led her to successfully complete the MRCGP (Membership of the Royal College of General Practitioners) general training programme in 2018 in the West Yorkshire deanery, solidifying her expertise in general practice.
Throughout her professional journey, Dr. Indrakumar has cultivated a keen interest in obstetrics and gynaecology, reflecting her dedication to providing comprehensive and compassionate care to women of all ages.
For several years, Dr. Indrakumar worked as a General Practitioner in Bradford, West Yorkshire, England, where she cared for patients of all ages. During this time, she developed a strong passion for medicine and a deep commitment to patient care. She relocated to Canberra in February 2024 and has since been practicing as a GP in the region, bringing her experience and dedication to her current role.
